Thanks for checking out the Chasing Bodhi podcast. I’m Doug, the host. I’m a father and a worker. I’m a writer and a podcaster. I’m a dreamer and I’m a practitioner.
Most of all, I’m in love with life.
I grew up in the kind of working-class family in the middle of America that called itself middle class without even knowing that we were poor. Everything was small where I came from. Everything was understood. I understand small.
I saw big all around me. At 18 I found myself in a factory as the big world outside my little town spun around me. When my curiosity got so big I couldn’t contain it anymore, I escaped.
I have had the call to write for most of my life. For over 20 years now I’ve been putting pen to paper with the intent to create, or read the tea leaves, or whatever happens when you manifest words onto a page. It took a lot of years and a lot of struggle to find my voice.
I’m still learning how to use words more skillfully every day. Every day I have the call, and when I answer it is when I’m the most free.
Chasing Bodhi, is dedicated to finding our voices. My goal with this podcast is to find creators who manifest ideas into conceptual action so the rest of us can join in the experience. On this podcast I interview writers, visual artist, other podcasters, musicians and with a little luck, artists in fields that haven’t been dreamed up yet.
I am deeply honored to share in this experience with you.
